BETON BAUEN 2026 CHARITY
MND ASSOCIATION CYMRU
SUPPORTING THOSE AFFECTED BY MND.
Beton Bauen is delighted to announce that MND Association Cymru is our official Charity of the Year for 2026. Motor Neurone Disease (MND) moves fast. It takes away independence, impacts daily lives, and currently has no cure. As a local business deeply rooted in the South Wales community, we want to make a tangible difference. Every day matters for those affected by MND, and this year, our team is stepping up to raise critical funds to support families living with this condition and to back essential research for a cure.
Throughout 2026, Beton Bauen team will be hosting a series of corporate events, industry challenges, and local community fundraisers. Our goal is to surpass a fundraising target of £3,000, giving to a deeply deserving cause. You can learn more about how the charity changes lives by visiting the MND Association, or keep an eye on our Beton Bauen Latest News page to see how you can get involved and support our 2026 fundraising initiatives. WHY DOES THIS CAUSE MATTERS TO US?
At Beton Bauen, community is at the heart of everything we do. We believe in supporting the causes that touch the lives of our team, our peers, and our wider industry. That is why we are incredibly proud to pledge our support to the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association, with a specific focus on the Cardiff and Vale of Glamorgan branch.
Our decision to support this vital charity comes from a place close to home. The Cardiff and Vale of Glamorgan branch has provided invaluable support to a fellow "concrete man," Garry Batte, who is currently enduring the effects of MND. Gary is a respected member of our industry community.
The concrete and construction industry is built on teamwork and looking out for one another. Supporting the MND Association is our way of extending that camaraderie beyond the site.
HOW CAN OUR FUNDRAISING HELP?
MND Association Cymru is committed to funding vital care and groundbreaking research to support families across Wales affected by Motor Neurone Disease. Whether you have been diagnosed with MND or you know someone who has, our services can make a real difference to how you cope in the future.
The MND Association provides essential care and support services, including the MND Connect helpline, specialised equipment loans, and practical financial grants. They also offer a Benefits Advice Service, a Communications Aids Service, and localised support through trained volunteers and dedicated local branches.
