Celebrations

Beton Bauen staff enjoyed a great day out Saturday last, celebrating both Christmas and a fantastic team performance for 2022, with a trip to Cardiff Rugby. Preparations for some started as early as 10.00am that morning and despite best efforts to try and control enthusiasm, the early start helped contribute to numerous minor head injuries, with the effects still being felt by many until at least the Monday morning! A great day was had by all and a big thank you to the staff at Cardiff Rugby, and in particular to Commercial Manager Gavin Vaughan-Evans for helping to organise proceedings. A great day was had by all.

The event allowed Managing Director Steve Davies to acknowledge the dedication and hard work of the entire Beton Bauen team during 2022, with selected winners picking up their award certificates and a useful shopping voucher on the day.

Match Ball Sponsorship

Beton Bauen were delighted to sponsor the Match Ball on the day, which was presented to Steve Davies on behalf of Cardiff Rugby by Wales international lock Rory Thornton, followed by a very personal video message from another second row player - this time by Teddy Williams, who happens to be sponsored by Beton Bauen during the 2022/23 season.

Match Report

Thanks to committed celebrations from Beton Bauen staff on Saturday 10th December, Cardiff Rugby were inspired to end a long barren run for Welsh sides in Europe as they thrashed CA Brive 41-0 in their opening European Challenge Cup match. Kristian Dacey, with two, and returning Wales wing Josh Adams scored first-half tries. Lloyd Williams sealed the bonus point after just 48 minutes on his 250th appearance for the club. Teddy Williams (sponsored in 2022/23 by Beton Bauen), Mason Grady and Theo Cabango added further scores in a one-sided affair in freezing conditions. It was the first Welsh victory in European competition since December 2020. Read More at the BBC >
