Beton Bauen Supports D.E.S. Charity Boxing Night, Dedicated to Darcy, Eve & Sophie - 24th May 2026

Following the tragic 2023 accident involving Darcy Ross, Eve Smith, and Sophie Russon, Beton Bauen is delighted to support and promote a charity event organised by local boxing coaches and enthusiasts.

"D.E.S. Charity Boxing Night - dedicated to Darcy, Eve & Sophie" will take place at Rodney Parade, Newport, home of URC rugby region the Dragons and Newport RFC, on Sunday 24th May 2026. Monies raised will go to two charities, chosen by families of the victims, 2Wish Cymru and Sparkle. plus Newport Men's Mental Health Group, in loving memory of Junior Ross.
Ms Smith and Ms Ross, both 21, were found dead at the scene of a crash, off the roundabout in St Mellons, in the early hours of Monday, March 6th 2023. Ms Russon, 20, was seriously injured in the crash and spent several weeks in hospital, receiving treatment.
Moved by the circumstances of the accident Beton Bauen Managing Director, Steve Davies will again contribute to the fundraising effort - donating boxing collectables signed by former world-champion boxer Manny Pacquiao, for the event auction. Beton Bauen has also taken opted for VIP Hospitality Package for 10 persons, including dinner and a ringside table when the bell rings!
