Following the success of this event in 2024, The Concrete Society (Wales Region) Training Day again offered delegates an introduction to the concrete supply process from basic materials, to site practice, and an insight to sustainability within the sector.

Event: Concrete Society Training Day 'Back to Basics' Date: Wednesday 30th April 2025
Venue: Beton Bauen, Caerphilly, CF83 2BJ

EVENT INTRODUCTION
Starting with an informal networking opportunity (plus breakfast rolls’ and refreshments), The Concrete Society (Wales Region) ‘Back To Basics’ Training Day, kicked-off this event for it’s second-year in succession. With over 25 registered delegates, the event has become ‘cemented’ in the calendar as an important fundamental for the sector.
Open to both Concrete Society members and non-members alike, the Back To Basics Training Day is a full-day event, comprising two half-day sessions. The event offers businesses an extremely cost-effective opportunity to provide basic training and an insight to current trends within the construction and concrete-work sectors, meeting the needs of many individuals and staff in the Wales region.
Hosted at Beton Bauen, in Caerphilly (South Wales) for the second year, delegates themselves brought a wide range of experience and knowledge of the industry, from relatively young engineers to experienced management and proprietors.
Attendees included those from businesses delivering services directly such as Knights Brown, Grays (Consulting Engineers), QuadConsult, and Borley Engineering Services. They were joined in attendance by representatives from of a number of key manufacturers and associations including Heidelberg Materials UK, Cemex, Sika, and Socotec UK.
