The Concrete Society Wales Region and Wooden Spoon Charity Autumn lunch this year took place at Cardiff Arms Park, where society members, former top rugby players and honourable guests attended what turned out to be an incredible event.

Hosted by Sean Holley, over 450 guests enjoyed a superb three course meal, a hugely entertaining auction, plus a Q&A segment involving former English, Leicester and British Lions players Martin Johnson CBE and Lewis Moody MBE.

Beton Bauen contributed one of a great number of raffle prizes. Coupled with some sought after auction lots, the event helped to raise a whopping total of over £30,000 for Wooden Spoon Charity. Every penny of this money goes to fund much needed projects, helping disadvantaged children in Wales.

Congratulations to the organisers and everyone involved, for what turned out to be a great afternoon of entertainment and celebration with special mention to Mel Francis (Chair, Concrete Society Wales Region) for her continued efforts.
