The June 2026 issue of Concrete (the magazine of The Concrete Society) features an article focused on a challenging project, carried out between 2023 and 2025, on behalf of Baku Boulevard Department, and Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Back in December 2025, Beton Bauen were extremely proud to walk away with the CRA Small Project of the Year Award for their work in Baku, on the Azerbaijan National Flagpole. The project highlighted Beton Bauen's expertise in delivering multi-faceted concrete rehabilitation on one of the world's most recognisable landmarks. By combining structural crack injection, large void grouting, crystalline waterproofing, and protective coatings, the company delivered a complete and durable repair strategy. Now, in the June edition of 'CONCRETE: The magazine of the Concrete Society the project gets a article dedicated to the very same project. It reports on a demanding overseas project – involving environmental extremes, international logistics, and a tight schedule – to repair the concrete base of a national landmark in Azerbaijan.
