Back in June 2026, Beton Bauen were featured in Concrete magazine, in relation to their award winning involvement in the concrete repair of the National State Flag, in Baku, Azerbaijan. This time round the September issue of the magazine includes an article written by Dan Brennan & Steve Davies of Beton Bauen.

This article outlines how and why the concrete drilling sector is set to adopt smart technology and explores issues facing the construction industry and how robotics might reshape the jobsite, as well as considering the topic of automation when concrete drilling, in particular.

Particular focus is placed on solving issues faced by the UK construction industry (specifically concrete drilling), including Low Productivity, Labour Crisis, and Health & Safety issues, and seeing how several compelling operational and economic benefits of semi-autonomous drilling robots can be applied within the industry.
